Colorado Motor Vehicle Salesperson Mastery Examination Practice

A dealer can issue a second temporary registration number plate if the title has not been delivered within sixty days. This provision is in place to ensure that buyers can temporarily use the vehicle during the title transfer process without facing penalties or legal issues. The law allows the dealer to issue an additional temporary registration to accommodate any delays that may occur before the necessary paperwork is completed. This helps facilitate the sales process while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

The other options do not meet the criteria for issuing a second temporary registration. If the vehicle has not been sold, there shouldn't be a need for a second plate since it doesn't transition between ownership. The dealer being out of state doesn't automatically necessitate additional registration, and simply having a new model vehicle does not provide grounds for issuing another temporary plate either. Thus, the specific condition of a delayed title delivery is critical for issuing a second temporary registration number plate.
